Before You Choose

A Note on How to Read These

There is no wrong choice here. The introductory class suits someone who has never stood in a dōjō and wants to find out what it feels like. The workshop suits someone ready to spend more time with a single discipline. The immersion suits someone who wants to spend a meaningful stretch of time inside the practice and come away with a real sense of the whole. If you are uncertain, the introductory class is where most people begin — and it is exactly what it sounds like.

Common Questions

Before You Write to Us

Do I need to bring anything?
For the introductory class and the workshop, comfortable clothing that allows movement is sufficient. For the half-day immersion, a practice uniform is provided as part of the session. We will confirm all details when you enquire.
Can I attend more than one session?
Yes. There is no reason you cannot attend the introductory class and then the workshop, or any combination that suits your interest and schedule. Each session is booked individually, and there is no requirement to follow a set path.
What if I have a physical limitation?
Please mention any relevant physical considerations when you enquire. Instruction at Star Weave Loop is adapted to the individual, and we are glad to discuss what is and is not possible before you book. No one should arrive uncertain about whether they can participate.
Is the dōjō accessible from central Tokyo?
Yes. Star Weave Loop is located at 2-3-1 Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku — a central location with straightforward access by train. Full directions will be provided when you confirm your booking.
How do I pay?
Payment details are provided after you enquire and your place is confirmed. We will discuss the most straightforward option for you at that point.
